Authors may submit a paper on the understanding that the work has not been published before and has been read and approved by all authors. The submission of a manuscript by the authors implies that the authors automatically agree to assign exclusive copyright to ISOSS Publications if and when the manuscript is accepted for publication.

All manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission system https://isoss.net/journals/index.php/japs/submissions

Please do not submit your paper to the editor or publisher.

Preparation of Manuscripts

  • Authors should prepare manuscripts in LaTeX format. Tables and figures should be inserted in the text, rather than collated at the end of the paper or attaching as appendix.
  • The title should reflect the contents of the manuscript and the abstract should be concise and descriptive. The name(s) of the author(s) should be just below the title of the paper and the contact address(es) of the author(s) should be placed at the end of the paper.
  • Footnotes are not allowed.
  • Displayed equations should be referenced and numbered consecutively by sections in the right margin.
  • A list of up to 7 keywords and phrases along with appropriate 2020 mathematics subject classification (MSC) codes should be provided. See Mathematical Reviews Online.
  • Bibliographic references should be numbered and listed at the end of the article
  • Accepted manuscripts must be typed in LaTeX format as per the formatting instructions of the publisher. Here you can download a sample file named japs-sample.zip. After download, unzip it and keep japs-template.tex and japs-ISOSS.sty in the same folder for it to work.  Click here to download a formatted sample file.

  • Indicative Review Processing Time
Normally the review process of submitted papers takes around three months. However, this is an indicative time as the actual time depends on the promptness of the reviewers. We encourage authors to help providing the name and email contact of four independent potential reviewers to speed up the review process.

  • Separated File of Title and Abstract Page
Authors are asked to send a separate file containing the "title and abstract page" for use during the process of identifying referees for their papers. This way, authors' works may be better protected before publication.

  • Upon Acceptance
Authors of accepted papers are required to sign a copyright transfer form. The editorial office will contact the corresponding author with detailed instructions regarding the publication process.

  • Publication Cost
There is no page charges for publication in JAPS. However, there is a small publication and shipping charge which should be paid by the authors prior to the publication of the accepted papers. See the Subscription Link for details. Additional re-prints can also be ordered at a nominal extra cost.
